I can't believe I actually worked out for 6 days in a row to that craziness they call "Insanity"!!!!!! I started another week off right with my workout and meal planning. Today's workout was the cardio and resistance tape! Since it still messed up I just played it back two more times since he does his intervals in sets of three and ended with stretching. I have a new dvd of that disc coming since it has issues!
It is so funny after we get a stretch after the warm up I just rather be done. The warm up itself is like a true workout lol! The guy says,"now breath in, and out....okay...get some water you got 30 seconds before we get the workout started", and I think to myself. Wasn't that a workout already lol! It's a trick we are all peaceful from the stretch and he pushes us to get on it and work it out hard core. Anyway....I had my shakes for breakfast and lunch so I could try a new recipe from the Eat Clean Diet link that I put on this page. It was Pesto Spaghetti. I made the pesto from scratch and bought whole wheat noodles. It was actually pretty good and your able to use some sea salt which makes it taste even better. I didn't go over board but I did put a dash or two.

I added some sauteed shrimp to go on the side of the pesto spaghetti! It was delicious!
I went to the grocery store and here is what I got for the week....

PERSONAL UPDATE
In an effort towards staying accountable I decided to sign up for the 4th Annual Eat Clean Diet Makeover! I am pretty excited about it and I sent in my before pictures last night!!!! I thought it would be fun to do and just give me something else to be accountable for in this journey! Wish me luck!!! :)

ReplyDeleteThose almond nut-thins are sooooo good!! They taste like tortilla chips to me. I eat them with guacamole and fresh salsa sometimes for a healthy snack... I think I'll try the Pesto Spaghetti dish you made this weekend with a side spinach salad and home made vinaigrette dressing :). Thanks for sharing the recipe. I'll keep ya posted if mine turns out as good as yours looks.
ReplyDeleteAww Kamaria! Thanks for commenting! The Pesto was very good. I do think that I would let my noodles stay a little wet to help spread the pesto better when it is put into pan.
ReplyDeleteAlso I love the almond thins, that is a good idea to eat it with fresh salsa, I have some at the house right now along with some mango salsa. Send me a pic and I will post your meal! I am sure it will be just as good if not better!
